Background
Dr. Lies experienced wrist pain for many years and sought many different types of treatment, including surgery, without finding relief. After being introduced to a chiropractor who suggested she try chiropractic care-to at least to check another box and see if adjusting could help-she decided to give it a try. After just two chiropractic adjustments, her wrist pain resolved. That experience inspired her to attend chiropractic school.
Dr. Lies is a graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic-West, where she earned the Clinical Excellence Award. Before returning to school to pursue her Doctor of Chiropractic degree, she practiced as a licensed physical therapist assistant for nearly 10 years. That background continues to influence the way she approaches patient care, allowing her to combine chiropractic care with rehabilitation, movement and home exercises.
Dr. Lies believes patients should be active participants in their own health care journey. She uses the skills and knowledge gained through her education and experience to help patients understand their musculoskeletal conditions and develop individualized plans that support their goals. Her goal is to help people improve their overall comfort, move through life with greater confidence, and get back to the things they love.
Philosophy
Albuquerque chiropractor Lynna Lies (her last name is pronounced “Lease”) practices in the Northeast Heights area. Dr. Lies believes chiropractic care should be individualized to the person in front of her. She combines specific chiropractic adjustments with rehabilitation, movement, and patient education, adapting care to each person's needs, goals, and comfort level. Patients are encouraged to be active participants in their care and to understand not only what they're doing, but why they're doing it.
Techniques
Dr. Lies utilizes a variety of techniques, including Diversified, Activator/instrument adjusting, drop, Graston, Webster, and the Palmer Package. She recognizes that every patient is different, and treatment is tailored to the individual rather than taking a cookie cutter, one-size-fits-all approach.
Areas of Experience
Dr. Lies has gained extensive experience treating a variety of musculoskeletal conditions and particularly enjoys helping people who have not found relief or benefit from previous treatments. Her additional training and experience include treating concussion-related conditions, helping moms before, during, and after pregnancy, connective tissue disorders such as Ehlers-Danlos and hypermobility, dysautonomia, and injuries sustained in motor vehicle collisions.
